Applications are now open for My Roots, the Vancouver Writers Fest’s annual writing workshop for immigrants to Canada. This year’s focus is poetry, and the workshop will be led by the wonderful Evelyn Lau. It’s a free, in-person session on Saturday, June 7, offering a space for immigrant writers to reflect on themes of culture, place, and identity through writing prompts and guided discussion. All levels of experience are welcome, but space is limited and an application is required. If you or someone you know might be interested, the deadline to apply is May 9.
