Memoir of Inquiry

A memoirist is a lifelong student in the ways of memory, intrigued by their memories, the memories they share with others and the collective memory that shapes us all. In this discussion-based course, we’ll focus on memoir writing not only as a retelling but also a dynamic site of inquiry. Writing exercises will also help you identify the organizing principle of your memoir, what to include, what to leave out and what form best suits your narrative.

Dates: 3 Mondays, April 4–18, 2011
Time: 6:30–9:30 pm
