Teaching

Betsy Warland has taught writing courses and workshops across Canada since 1982, including Simon Fraser University’s Writing and Publishing Program, Langara College, the Sage Hill Writing Experience and the University of British Columbia’s Booming Ground.

As teacher and mentor to groups and individuals, she is dedicated to emerging writers. In 2005, she was the Creative Nonfiction Mentor for The Writer’s Studio, Simon Fraser University, in Vancouver, BC. Previously, she served as Poetry and Lyric Prose Mentor for this one-year, part-time Certificate program in Creative Writing.
