Breathing_the_Page

Every manuscript is a story, regardless of the genre or subject. In this course, you will learn how to develop your manuscript mind—how to shift from smaller narrative units to accurately identifying the unique, overall story of your entire manuscript.

We’ll also discuss strategies for dealing with practical concerns—what does and does not fit in your manuscript? What new writing does it need? How do you know when you’re finished?

You will hear a successful first-time author talk about what he or she learned, including the process of assessing his or her manuscript as well as publishing and promoting it.

Please note: this class is an elective in The Writer’s Studio program. Students of the program receive priority enrollment. If there are seats available in the class, SFU will open the course to the public one-week prior to the course start date.

Sessions: 4

Start Date: Monday, February 29, 2016.

Fee: $350.00
